Pinoy peacekeepers accept prestigious UN decoration

MANILA, Philippines - The seventh Philippine unforeseen to the Golan Heights as of late gained the prestigious United Nations Service Medal.

In the meantime, the Filipino peacekeepers, with the backing of the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv, took the chance to advertise Philippine tourism, society and conventions to the visitors. The international safe haven set up a corner to display different nearby items, for example, piƱa barong, capiz shells, placemats, key chains, and leaflets offering the best visitor spots in the Philippines.

The Philippines has been sending troops to UNDOF since 2009 when the Polish Contingent turned over its order to the nation. With the 332 troops as of now serving in UNDOF, the Philippines remains the second greatest troop patron to the peacekeeping mission.
